Golden Grove offers comfortable and pleasant accommodation that is in close proximity to the City of Sydney, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Sydney University while sitting amongst one of the most interesting and exciting parts of Sydney - King Street Newtown.
We are smoke and alcohol free accommodation and foundationally Christian. We are housed in the beautifully restored former convent - Golden Grove (named after the First Fleet Ship that carried the first Minister, Rev Richard Johnson, to Australia).
We are non-profit in what we provide. This is important. All other locations offering accommodation are businesses generating income. We are not. We are a ministry that is set-up to provide accommodation
While many of our guests are visitors to the local hospitals (Royal Prince Alfred, St Vincent's, Royal North Shore and Prince of Wales) and university, a number of travellers find their way to Golden Grove. All of our advertising is through word of mouth. Come and stay and see why so many people call us home when they visit Sydney.
Our rooms are on three levels (a small number of rooms are on the ground floor) with both ensuite and shared bathroom options. A chair-lift is available to assist those to upper floors (max 100kg).
